Upload your menu. Manage dishes, prices and channels.

Upload a simple menu. The Copilot reads dishes and prices from it and suggests allergens. You check the suggestions and adopt suitable items. Then you manage your menu centrally for guests, printing and the connected POS.

Working with the module

Six tasks, one module.

LidoOS Copilot

Read menu · Compare inventory · Check suggestions

A simple menu becomes item suggestions.

The Copilot reads an uploaded menu, structures dishes and prices and suggests suitable allergens. The comparison shows new and changed items before adoption.

1 · Your simple template

A typed menu as an image or PDF is enough. In this example it contains starters with names, ingredients and prices. Upload it under “Take over/compare menu”. This example is an excerpt; the other existing items are kept by default.

You decide what gets adopted.

2 · The recognised items

The Copilot helps you with

  • Reads categories, items, descriptions and prices from images or PDFs and suggests allergens based on the recognised details.
  • The module compares the recognition with existing items and shows new, changed or unclear assignments.
  • For an item, it can draft descriptions and suggest allergens based on the name, description and ingredients.
  • Bulk translation fills empty target fields directly; existing texts are only replaced with the overwrite option.
  • The PDF assistant suggests a distribution of your categories across pages.

It doesn’t check

  • Which ingredients, traces or possible cross-contamination your dish actually contains.
  • Whether all items, quantities and prices from the template were recognised correctly.
  • Whether a translation fits your dish professionally and linguistically.
  • Whether the page suggestion in the final PDF fits without line-break issues.

3 · Check allergen suggestions

For crostini with wheat bread and mozzarella, the Copilot suggests allergens based on the description. You check the selection against your actual ingredients and supplier information. Correct names, descriptions and prices before adopting items. Here, the suggestions are cereals containing gluten (1) and milk (7).

When importing a menu you check the draft before adoption. Bulk translation, on the other hand, fills empty target fields directly; existing texts are only replaced with the overwrite option. The shown template and all dishes belong to the fictional demo restaurant.

Show guests the menu

Your menu directly on their phone.

Guests open the menu via the QR code at the table. They see the published dishes, descriptions, prices and allergen information in the available languages. With the website builder the menu also gets its own neutral page with a selectable design that you link on Google, Bing and in portals.

Manage dishes

One item, all the important details.

Manage name, description, prices and allergens for each item. For different sizes you can store multiple prices. Variants and option groups provide additional selection options. You decide which details guests and staff see.

Organise the menu

Find your dishes and drinks in the right place.

Organise your items into sections and categories. In the editor you select a category and edit the associated dishes directly next to it. You can change the order and deactivate items that are no longer available.

Control channels

Not every dish needs to appear everywhere.

In the channel overview you decide where an item should be visible: for example on the menu, in the POS or in quick sales. Rules can be inherited from the section or category and overridden specifically for individual items.

Daily and weekly menu

Daily, weekly, seasonal menu. Without a second item catalogue.

Create daily, weekly or seasonal menus from your items. Set validity and output channels. This way you can prepare a time-limited offer for the QR menu, as a separate menu or for printing.

Create a print template

Your printed menu comes from the same catalogue.

The PDF generator turns your items into a ready print template: choose format, language and categories, assign categories to pages in the page plan, an AI suggestion helps with the distribution. Hand the PDF to a print shop or print it yourself and put a proper menu on the table. When a price changes, you generate the menu again. Check the preview before printing.

Menu and POS

Central items for Nova and LidoOS POS.

With POS connection set up, Nova provides the published items to the POS. Items created only at the POS come back via a separate entry.

  • Nova → POS: Categories, item texts, prices, sizes, allergens and options are transferred via the menu connection.
  • Visibility counts: Channel rules and active items determine what is available for POS and quick sales.
  • POS → Nova: New POS items created at the POS appear in the item entry for conscious adoption.
  • Adopted POS items are not automatically published on the guest menu. You set the approval in Nova.

Also in the module

  • Categories and items

Create items with images, descriptions and prices. Sort categories, duplicate items and control visibility.

  • Variants and extras

Use variant and option groups for sizes, versions and additions, with their corresponding prices.

  • Languages and allergens

Maintain translations and allergen information. Your team checks accuracy; missing information is not an automatic assurance of safety.

  • Table QR codes

Generate table codes as PNG or SVG, renew or revoke links and prepare printed displays.

  • Daily and special menus

Build, duplicate and publish special selections using existing or additional items.

  • PDFs and screens

Preview PDF menus and prepare digital display output through paired devices and special menus.

  • Import and export

Exchange CSV or JSON. The import assistant extracts existing documents for review and reconciliation before you apply the data.

  • Channel visibility

Choose where items appear while retaining them in the central catalogue.

  • Shared POS and AI waiter data

The active POS connection transfers supported items, prices, variants and options. The AI waiter uses maintained menu context; transfer depends on configuration.

What you need to get started

For businesses with changing offers and several menu channels.

Provide complete item and price data, checked translations and allergen information. POS requires an active connection; screens need paired devices. A QR menu alone does not place an order or take payment.

The limits

Your ingredients and approvals remain decisive.

Allergen information requires reliable ingredient and supplier details. AI suggestions do not replace these details. The QR menu, printing and POS use their respective approvals; the POS connection must be set up. A digital menu alone is not yet an ordering or payment system.

Packages

The digital menu is included from Starter.

The menu module is included in Starter, Professional and Enterprise. AI usage, additional modules and POS connection depend on activation and package scope. Current terms can be found in the shop.

Short answers

Good to know

Are Nova and POS separate menus?

Nova is the central editing source. A configured POS connection transfers supported data. Channel mapping, transfer and device display are checked during setup.

Do I have to retype my menu?

No. You upload your existing menu as an image or PDF. The Copilot reads dishes, descriptions and prices, you check the comparison and adopt what fits.

Are the allergen suggestions reliable?

They are a starting point derived from name and description, not a check of your ingredients. Only you know what is actually in the dish. Verify every label against your recipes and supplier information.

Can a dish be sold at the till but not shown on the QR menu?

Yes. Channel rules let you decide per section, category or item where it is visible: QR menu, till or quick sale.

Can I link my menu on Google and in portals?

Yes. The website builder provides a dedicated menu page in a neutral design, without ordering, but fast and mobile. Use the link in your Google Business Profile, on Bing and in portals. The QR code at the table shows the same content.
