You type in what the guest hands over — the POS shows the change. The tip goes in right next to it and lands separately in the settlement. In the evening the drawer adds up because every pay-in and pay-out is in the cash book.
You pick the card terminal, the amount goes across, the guest taps the card. As soon as the approval comes back, the check is paid. If something breaks off, the POS offers you the payment again — nothing is booked twice.
At the till you enter it yourself. On the customer display the guest chooses: no tip, one of three levels or their own amount. You set the levels. In the reports, tips stand apart from revenue, day by day.
Type or scan the code, and the POS takes the amount off the open check. If the voucher is not enough, the guest pays the rest as usual. If something is left over, the remaining value stays in Nova and counts on the next visit.
By items or evenly by guests: every part is paid on its own and gets its own receipt. The rest stays open at the table until the last guest has paid.
